What do we 'need' to provide a fleet quotation?
Essentially this can be broken-down into four component factors:-
1) Risk & Cover Details
2) Vehicle Schedule
3) Confirmed Claims Experience
4) Factfinder
Our quotation form asks for information required to consider a risk for fleet rating and if this is completed in full, supported by the holding insurers verified and authenticated claims experience, then we are in position to proceed.
A duly completed Factfinder supporting the submission will enable us to be more discerning regarding risk selection and more pertinently, in our pricing of the risk. For certain category of business/occupation a Factfinder is a compulsory requirement.
Where a risk consists of five (or more) vehicles but is not presently fleet rated (i.e. No Claims Bonus appplies to each vehicle) then the same basic criteria applies, but in a slightly different format relative to claims experience. We still need to know the complete and detailed three year claims record which will need to be "provable" by the holding insurer(s). It is vital therefore that all relevant claims information is obtained prior to submission, that this can be verified and ultimately authenticated by the holding insurer(s).
Our Quotation Form pertaining to the Vehicle Schedule asks (for each vehicle) regarding No Claims Bonus entitlement as a percentage (e.g. 65%) AND the number of years that this represents (e.g. 6years minimum). As before, this must be "provable" by the holding insurers in the traditional (and verified/authenticated) format.
