Q:    What information do I need to obtain a quotation?
A:    In order that we may offer you a prompt quotation we ask that you provide the following information either by forwarding a presentation by fax to 0845 602 0984 or by email to fleet@mbp.uk.com
 
Refer to the fleet quote section of this website for a downloadable form.
 
A schedule of vehicles including make, model, engine size, seating capacity, year of manufacture, value and gross vehicle weight for vans
 
  • Clients full address and postcode
  • Clients occupation and exact use for the vehicles
  • A factfinder will be required if the vehicles are being used for private/public hire or recruitment agencies.
  • Confirmed claims experience or proof of no claims bonus including claims cost and circumstances of claims
  • The present insurer and when this policy is due for renewal
  • Target premium
 
Q:    Can I obtain a quotation over the telephone?
A:     Following on from previous question we need this information to provide a quotation, so we are unable to offer terms over the phone. Once we are in receipt of your submission then our staff are happy to converse with you over the telephone.
 
Q:    What is a Factfinder?
A:    A 'Factfinder' is the simplest means of obtaining greater risk information for underwriting purposes. It is a questionnaire, aimed at providing an overview of how a risk operates and the level of risk control practiced.  The main identifying features from any motor fleet 'factfind' can be summarised as:
 
  • Operation and Vehicle Use
  • Vehicle Management
  • Drivers and Driver Management
  • Risk Management Techniques.
 
We use two Factfinders, one for Private/Public Hire Operators with questions specific to that type of business and another, more 'general' form, for all other risks. Copies of the forms can be obtained from the downloadable forms section of this website.
  
Q:    Why do you need a Factfinder?
A:    In addition to standard underwriting factors, including claims experience (and/or current No Claims Bonus entitlement) we are seeking to identify and reward those risks who operate 'good practice' within an overall risk management strategy.
We will therefore ensure that risk rating more accurately reflects:
 
  • exposure to risk
  • low mileage for risk type
  • vehicle maintenance programme
  • a stable workforce with positive driver profile
  • application of risk management measures.
 
In addition, Factfinders will enable us to manage higher risks more easily, make recommendations and suggest improvements as necessary, for the benefit of all.
 
Q:    What made you become the specialist insurance broker in the provision of commercial passenger related transport insurance, specialising in minibus, MPV's, coach and fleet insurance?
A:    Many underwriters, when a minibus or coach is within the schedule, do not wish to underwrite due to the potential for large claim awards due to passenger liability.
 
We use underwriters and suppliers who understand the requirements of this specialist sector. We also keep up to date with current and future legislation that applies.
 
 
Q:    How do I proceed with cover?
A:    It's easy to proceed with cover. Merely telephone, fax or email us with the quotation reference you will have been given, the level of cover, the commencement date for cover to begin and if our instalment facility is required.
 
Q:    Do you offer an instalment facility?
A:    We offer a flexible monthly Direct Debit Scheme which requires a 20% deposit. The balance can then be collected over 2-9 instalments subject to an administrative charge.
